| Birds and Breakfast Hola Audubonistas, Please join us for these birding outings along Lake Chapala's North Shore. We are focusing on two areas to help fill out the inventory of bird sightings month-by-month. So we will visit Jocotepec Malecon and Chapala's Cristiania Park.  | Where & When | | On the Malecon in Jocotepec MONDAY, Lunes June 09, 2008 8:30 AM-10:00 AM | | | See a Sora, View a Vermillion, Hail a Heron... We will expect to see shorebirds as well as songbirds here. The boating dock area is being renovated so it will be interesting to see how the activity has effected the bird stock. We will meet at the Malecon at 8:30 a.m, bird for an hour or so, then convene for breakfast at Dona Lola's in Ajijic where we will do the checklist and tally.

While 8:30 is the better birding, the birds will be there later as well.
Expect to see: Berylline, Violet-Crowned, Magnificent, Sparkling Tailed Woodstar, Broad-Billed, and White-Eared Hummingbirds. Don't forget your binoculars, camera, and birdbook.

 | Where & When | | Cristiania Park Chapala, MX June 27, 2008 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. | | | Watch a Warbler, See a Shrike, Glimpse a Gull Cristiania Park is another Lakeside birding Hot Spot. The marsh at the eastward shore of the lake is particularly abundant. We will then sample the lake shoreline and the wooded parklands.
Then we will go to Mom's Cafe in Riberas for Breakfast and the Count. From Ajijic, take the Carreterra to Chapala. Proceed straight at the semafora to the end of the road. Turn left and park near the entrance. We will meet at the gate at 8 and proceed to the left to the Lake shore.
