Ajijic Report

Audubonistas Report
From the Ajijic Pier March 11 2007
Hello Allen,
Today was a beautiful day at the park and pier in downtown Ajijic, Jalisco. Thirty four early birders gathered at 8 a.m. to the sunrise spectacular.

Great throngs of Great and Snowy Egrets perform their Sun Salutations on distant lirio floats.
A battalion of White American Pelicans cruise above the waterline assessing the fortunes of the fishing boats .
Water snakes mingle with a dozen or so American Coots .
A group of White Faced Ibises, their bills downturned, fly in formation along the shoreline.
