Jocotepec Report

What a fine day at the Malecon in Jocotepec.

Today, 23 Audubonistas met to survey the lakeshore birds.
We identified:

  1. Neotropic Cormorant (a flock)
  2. Great Blue Heron (adults and juvenal)
  3. Great Egret
  4. Snowy Egret
  5. Cattle Egret
  6. Black-Crowned Night Heron
  7. White-Faced Ibis (about 20)
  8. Killdeer
  9. Rock Dove
  10. White-Winged Dove
  11. Inca Dove
  12. Broad Billed Hummingbird
  13. White-Eared Hummingbird
  14. Violet-Crowned Hummingbird
  15. Golden-fronted Woodpecker
  16. Vermillion Flycatcher
  17. Tropical Kingbird
  18. Great Kiskadee
  19. Barn Swallows
  20. Common Raven
  21. Rufous-backed Robin
  22. Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
  23. Yellow Warbler
  24. Common Yellowthroat
  25. Great-tailed Grackle
