Here are some the birds I have obserrved in Jan - Feb 2006 along the shore of the lake between Ajijic & Chapala:
Blue mockingbird, White Faced Ibis, Brown Towee, Loggerhead Shrike, Blue Winged Teal, Cinnamon Teal, Least Grebe, Western Tanager, Green Heron, Tricoloured Heron, Western Meadowlark, Curve Billed Thrasher, White Pelican and the usual egrets & coots.

I have observed the following around Lomas del Mangler and/or in Ajijic:

Violet Crowned Hummingbird, Broad Billed Hummingbird, Canyon Wren (heard but difficult to see), Military Macaw (three in flight seen twice), Hooded Oriole, Wilson's Warbler, Audubon's Warbler, Grooved Bill Ani, Stripe Headed Sparrow, Social Flycatcher, Great Kiskadee, Bewick's Wren, Vermillion Flycatcher, Gold Fronted Woodpecker, Roadside Hawk, Rufous Backed Robin, Blue Gray Gnatcatcher.
